Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Pay Rates: £14.00 – £22.00

Shift Pattern: Days and Waking Nights

About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic, fun-loving, enthusiastic, and reliable Healthcare Assistant to support a young boy in his home environment. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be an important part of this child’s daily life, providing both care and companionship in a supportive home environment.

Your role will involve helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating atmosphere where the child can thrive. You’ll engage them in fun, creative, and educational activities, both indoors and outdoors, encouraging confidence, curiosity, and independence. Working closely with the family and alongside the home-school teacher, you will also support learning and development through play-based and educational experiences, making each day enjoyable and meaningful.

The position involves supporting with occasional night care if the current team is on leave or sick. This includes:

  • Monitoring the client’s condition
  • Assisting with repositioning and personal care
  • Carrying out suctioning
  • Administering medication
  • Completing flushes as required

  • Suctioning
  • Medication Administration
  • Epilepsy
  • Personal care
  • Chest clearance

Training can be given if these skills are minimal, but finding the right person with the right personality is essential.
