This vacancy is for a part-time position at 35.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated Endoscopy Team at Kettering General Hospital.

The Endoscopy Unit is looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual to join our ever-growing team. Our unit is a regional centre for the national Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, and we pride ourselves on our excellence which is recognised by our JAG accreditation for 10 consecutive years.

Across the working week, the working hours will cover between 8 am - 6 pm according to the demands of the clinics.

Please note that this role does not attract sponsorship due to part-time hours not meeting the minimum salary requirements.

You will be working alongside our registered nursing colleagues, doctors, surgeons, and the wider multi-disciplinary team to continue to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for our adult patients.

Previous Experience In Healthcare And Endoscopy Is Essential.

To join our Endoscopy Team, you will be involved in:

  • Supporting the qualified nurses with the delivery of high-quality, individualised, evidenced-based care to all patients
  • Participating in clinical duties once trained and competent
  • Chaperoning patients
  • Demonstrating a sensitive and diplomatic approach to patients in an emotional situation
  • Preparing equipment and rooms in preparation for a variety of clinics as well as some cleaning duties
  • Monitoring and replenishing documentation and clinical stock as needed
