Competitive Salary + Car and Benefits
Are you a healthcare cleaning expert who doesn't mind getting stuck in?
Medirest are looking for someone who knows healthcare cleaning inside and out. Someone who can help shape our approach to winning and mobilising new business, improve standards across our existing contracts, and bring fresh ideas to the way we work.
But this isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a laptop all day.
Yes, you'll be involved in strategy, pricing support, bids, mobilisation plans, process improvement, and innovation. But you'll also be out on sites, working alongside operational teams, reviewing cleaning standards, supporting mobilisations, solving problems, and occasionally rolling your sleeves up to help teams deliver when needed.
This is a genuinely hands-on specialist role that combines operational expertise with strategic influence.
While the role is national and hybrid, being based in or around London would be advantageous due to the concentration of healthcare contracts and client engagement opportunities in the region.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting New Business & Growth
- Work alongside our Business Development and Bid teams to help shape winning healthcare cleaning solutions.
- Support costing and labour modelling for new opportunities, ensuring plans are practical, compliant, and deliverable.
- Contribute to presentations, client meetings, and site visits during tender processes.
- Help design mobilisation plans that set new contracts up for success from day one.
- Ensure all solutions align with NHS standards, infection prevention requirements, and best practice.
Working Alongside Operational Teams
- Spend time on sites understanding what works well and where improvements can be made.
- Support teams during new contract mobilisations and significant operational changes.
- Help solve operational challenges and improve cleaning performance.
- Coach managers and supervisors to drive consistency and best practice.
- Be visible, approachable, and willing to support frontline teams when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
