Responsibilities

In this high profile, strategic role you will be responsible for winning and implementing significant new business across the Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland health authorities to drive growth and revenue. You will focus only on the largest opportunities that will shape the future of Urgo in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

Responsible for strategically navigating the health systems in your assigned region where you will build a network of advocacy with senior stakeholders (up to and including C-Suite) across Health Boards and Integrated Health Areas.

You will operate as a key driver of organisational growth, spearheading strategic initiatives to expand our presence within the Scottish and wider UK&I wound care sphere. You will identify transformative opportunities, forge high-value partnerships and influence decision making at the highest levels within the health systems.

Responsible for collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs and Digital & Market Access teams to ensure alignment on your strategic plans that deliver measurable business impact, driving Urgo Medical’s positioning within our market to meet our ambitions to be the number one company in UK wound care.

Key Accountabilities

The job holder will support the delivery of the Company’s key business objectives through the delivery of their key accountabilities as follows:

  1. Develop a pipeline of high-impact opportunities, focusing on large-scale partnerships in focus accounts.
  2. Drive top-line revenue growth by securing high-value, multi-year contracts within our healthcare systems.
  3. Create and execute strategy to enhance Urgo Medical’s market position and increase its competitive advantage.
  4. Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to translate company strategy and objectives into landscape changing opportunities and deliver sustainable long-term partnerships with senior NHS stakeholders.
  5. Lead high-level negotiations and structure complex agreements to maximise value creation for both parties.
  6. Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare executives (senior payor level and C-Suite), industry partners, and policy decision-makers across the breadth of wound care to acquire new business opportunities, shape policy and increase revenue.
  7. Continuously seeking out potential clients and markets for expansion to drive business growth and value solutions working with both Local Health Board decision makers and Clinicians to deliver access projects supported by wider Urgo team to deliver clinical, health economic and strategic results.
  8. Evaluate and analyse market trends and competition to provide insights and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team on emerging trends, growth opportunities, challenges and competitive dynamics.
  9. Drive service redesign through Urgo Medical’s digital solutions offering through C-Suite level stakeholders.
  10. Maintain a consistent pipeline of high value opportunities to ensure consistent flow and attainment of targets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in sales and business development with a record of achieving/exceeding sales targets year on year, contributing to the company’s continued growth and success. Demonstrable ability to analyse data and market trends is essential as data-driven decision-making is a cornerstone of this role.
  • Demonstrable experience of reimbursement routes to market and formulary listings to gain market share and expansion.
