About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare IT Business Analyst to support the delivery of technology and digital transformation initiatives across the healthcare environment. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The IT Business Analyst will act as the link between clinical, operational, and technology teams, ensuring that business and clinical requirements are understood, documented, and translated into effective technology solutions.

The role will involve working closely with clinicians, healthcare professionals, operational teams, IT teams, project managers, suppliers, and senior stakeholders to improve systems, processes, patient services, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business analysis techniques and experience working with healthcare systems, processes, data, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clinical, operational, administrative, and technical stakeholders to understand business and service requirements.
  • Gather, analyse, document, and validate business, clinical, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, process reviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
  • Analyse existing healthcare processes and identify opportunities for improvement, standardisation, and automation.
  • Document As-Is and To-Be processes, workflows, system interactions, and business rules.
  • Translate clinical and operational requirements into clear and actionable system requirements.
  • Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Specifications, user stories, use cases, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with solution architects, developers, testers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure requirements are correctly understood and implemented.
  • Assess the impact of proposed system changes on patients, clinicians, staff, processes, systems, and data.
  • Support the implementation and optimisation of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and other healthcare applications.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
