Residential Short-Term Holding Facility | Larne
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Professional to join our team within the Residential Short-Term Holding Facility in Larne.
This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality healthcare services in a residential custodial environment, supporting the health, wellbeing, and welfare of residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing healthcare needs, delivering patient-centred care, and maintaining accurate clinical records using electronic healthcare systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred clinical care within a residential custodial setting.
- Assess, monitor, and manage residents' health and wellbeing needs.
- Respond effectively to both acute and non-acute medical situations.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential clinical records using electronic systems.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Promote a safe and supportive healthcare environment for all residents.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in a patient-facing clinical role.
- Experience working in one or more of the following settings:
- Accident & Emergency (A&E)
- General Practice
- Emergency Medicine
- Acute Medicine
- Prison Healthcare
- Ambulance Services
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a broad range of clinical presentations.
- Excellent communication, record-keeping, and organisational skills.
Professional Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
- Registered Nurse (RN/RGN) with a minimum of two years' post-registration experience at Band 5 level or above.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with dual registration and a minimum of two years' post-registration experience.
- Qualified Paramedic with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience.

Security and Eligibility Requirements
Due To The Nature Of The Role
- Candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK.
- Candidates must have held either British Citizenship, a British Passport, or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for a minimum of three years.
- Applicants must not have spent more than three consecutive months outside the UK during the required residency period.
- All successful candidates will be required to undergo and successfully obtain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) Clearance.
