We are worth with a leading organisation in Northern Ireland that is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing Healthcare Advisory team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with approximately 3–8 years’ relevant experience to work on a diverse portfolio of healthcare consulting engagements across public and private sector organisations, both nationally and internationally.
The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare consultants, senior colleagues and client stakeholders to manage the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered to agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
The role will involve a combination of project and programme management, client engagement, research and analysis, stakeholder management and the development of practical solutions to complex challenges within the healthcare sector.
Candidates should have a good understanding of the Irish healthcare system. Experience within healthcare consulting or professional services would be particularly attractive, and candidates with a clinical background are strongly encouraged to apply, although this is not essential.
The position can accommodate candidates at different levels of experience, with responsibilities tailored appropriately to the successful candidate.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Project Manager within the Healthcare Advisory team, you will take responsibility for managing client engagements and supporting the delivery of tailored healthcare solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Project & Programme Delivery: Lead and support the delivery of complex healthcare projects, working with internal teams, clients and other stakeholders to ensure projects are successfully delivered against agreed objectives, timelines, budgets and scope.
- End-to-End Project Management: Manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, governance and closure.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing communications, addressing project-related queries and developing strong working relationships throughout the engagement.
- Project Governance: Establish and maintain appropriate project governance structures and prepare comprehensive project documentation including project plans, status reports, RAID logs, governance updates, action trackers and other project controls.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify project risks, issues and dependencies, develop appropriate mitigation strategies and escalate matters where required.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to support healthcare projects, including assessment of sector trends, regulatory developments, operational information and relevant healthcare data.
- Development of Client Solutions: Work alongside healthcare consultants and senior colleagues to develop practical and innovative solutions to complex challenges facing healthcare organisations.
- Reports & Presentations: Produce high-quality reports, presentations and other client deliverables that clearly communicate project findings, insights, recommendations and implementation plans.
- Business Development: Contribute to proposals, tender responses, presentations and other business development initiatives designed to support the continued growth of the Healthcare Advisory practice.
- Team Leadership: Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance, mentoring and support to more junior colleagues.
- Healthcare Sector Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of developments across the healthcare sector, including regulatory changes, service delivery models, digital transformation, emerging technologies and wider market trends.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of project management methodologies, tools and ways of working while actively participating in ongoing professional development.

- A third-level degree with a strong academic record.
- Approximately 3–8 years of relevant professional experience, depending on the level of appointment.
- A recognised Project Management qualification or certification is highly desirable, such as PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience applying recognised project management tools, methodologies and best practices to deliver measurable project outcomes.
- Change Management qualifications such as Prosci Change Management Certification, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or equivalent would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be a capable and commercially aware project management professional who is comfortable operating in a client-facing healthcare advisory environment. They will combine strong project delivery capabilities with excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills.
A background in healthcare, clinical services or healthcare consulting would be particularly attractive, although candidates from broader consulting, professional services, transformation or complex project delivery backgrounds will also be considered where they can demonstrate a strong understanding of the healthcare environment.
