Project Manager – Healthcare Advisory
Grant Thornton Ireland
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Healthcare Advisory team.
With 3–8 years of relevant project management experience (depending on the role), you will lead and support the successful delivery of healthcare consulting projects across public and private sector organisations, both nationally and internationally. You will collaborate closely with healthcare consultants and client stakeholders to manage project execution, ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope, and drive innovative solutions for our clients in the healthcare sector.
As a key member of the team, you will also contribute to:
- Business development
- Client relationship management
- Mentoring junior team members
We are particularly interested in candidates with clinical backgrounds, though this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Leadership
- Lead and support the execution of complex healthcare projects for key clients
- Manage project lifetime, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries and fostering strong relationships
Strategic & Analytical Work
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to inform strategic recommendations
- Develop tailored healthcare solutions, collaborating with senior consultants
- Prepare high-impact reports, presentations, and tender documentation
Business Growth & Development
- Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and tender responses
- Contribute to marketing initiatives to expand the healthcare advisory practice

Risk & Stakeholder Management
- Identify and mitigate project risks, preparing comprehensive documentation (e.g., project plans, RAID logs)
- Escalate issues proactively and drive mitigation strategies
Team Support & Mentorship
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with client goals
- Mentor junior team members, offering guidance and development opportunities
Industry Expertise & Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on healthcare trends, regulations, and innovations
- Participate in professional development programs to enhance expertise
Education & Certification Requirements
Qualifications
- Third-level degree (strong academic record preferred)
- Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent)
- Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, CMP) – desirable
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (scale depends on seniority level)
