Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor – Birmingham – Up to £80,000
A highly regarded and progressive UK law firm is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor to join its specialist team in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE to work on a broad range of complex and high-profile healthcare regulatory matters. Based in Birmingham, you will advise NHS organisations, healthcare providers and other health and social care clients on a varied caseload, with excellent opportunities for career progression and advocacy experience.
The Role:
- Manage your own caseload of healthcare regulatory and inquest matters on behalf of NHS and healthcare clients
- Represent clients at inquest hearings, including undertaking advocacy where appropriate
- Prepare witnesses and attend client meetings ahead of hearings and court proceedings
- Advise healthcare organisations on a range of regulatory matters, including Court of Protection, Mental Health Tribunal and CQC-related issues
- Provide advice on issues including consent, mental capacity, confidentiality, best interests and wider healthcare governance
- Work closely with clients across the health and social care sector, delivering practical and commercially focused advice
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex and high-profile healthcare regulatory matters
- Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage files efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures

About You:
- A Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE
- Previous experience in healthcare regulatory, inquests, Court of Protection or wider public sector advisory work
- Confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- Advocacy experience or a genuine interest in developing advocacy skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication, drafting and client relationship skills
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Proficient in managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality work to deadlines
