The Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join the Alcohol, Drugs and Recovery Service (ADRS) within South Glasgow.
ADRS forms part of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and consists of both healthcare and social care staff working together to support individuals affected by addiction. Our service provides a holistic, person-centred approach, placing service users at the heart of the care and support we provide.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a or a NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
- This is a permanent position
- The post is based within Rowanpark.
- You will work full-time hours (36) over Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00
Key Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals throughout their recovery journey. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver high-quality, person-centred care to service users within a variety of clinical and community settings.
You will support individuals with their health and wellbeing needs, promote recovery-focused outcomes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the delivery of a safe and effective service. The role requires the ability to work under guidance and instruction as part of a team, while also being confident working independently when required. There will be opportunities to develop skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and/or Experience Required to do the Job
- Current experience working as a Healthcare Support Worker.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently within a clinical or community setting when required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering person-centred care and supporting recovery outcomes.
- Understanding of confidentiality, dignity and respect in a healthcare environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working within an addictions service.
- Experience working within a mental health setting.
- Knowledge of recovery-focused approaches to care.
- Full UK driving licence.
