Healthcare Support Workers
We are looking for caring, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join our team as Healthcare Support Workers at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to start or develop a rewarding career in healthcare, while making a real difference to the lives of patients and their families every day.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and other clinicians to provide safe, high-quality, and person-centred care. Your duties will include:
- Supporting patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Assisting with mobility, moving and handling, and patient comfort
- Recording and reporting patient observations (e.g., temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure)
- Assisting clinical teams with care plans and procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Offering emotional reassurance and compassionate support to patients and families
