Role Description
As a Healthcare Support Worker on our 24-bedded Dunlop Ward, which specializes in the care of long-term cardiac conditions and Acute Medicine, you will provide high standards of care to our patients while working both independently and as part of a team, prioritizing your workload to ensure quality care and demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide high standards of care to patients.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Prioritize workload to ensure quality care.
- Demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach.
Duties include:
- Monitoring and recording of vital signs.
- Escorting patients off the ward for investigations/scans.
- Assisting with personal care and nutritional support.
Requirements
- Have some care experience.
- Be able to work night shifts.
- Be a caring and compassionate person.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Deliver a high standard of individualized nursing care.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Prioritize workload to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Ensure own actions support the care, protection, and well-being of individuals.
- Ensure privacy and dignity at all times.
