On successful completion of apprenticeship and care certificate (approximately 8 months), you will have the opportunity to progress to a Band 3 Health Care Assistant role within the Trust.

• Assisting patients with personal care, nutrition, hydration, and mobility.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Evidence of general education, eg GCSE's or equivalent functional skills Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy
• Ability to follow instructions and work within agreed policies and procedures
• Achieved grade 3

Desirable criteria

• Understanding of the Trust's values and behaviours.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
• Knowledge of personal care and related procedures

Experience

Essential criteria

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to maintain patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Previous experience which includes team working, communicating with staff and colleagues, and understanding of work practices

Desirable criteria

• Experience caring for elderly or acutely unwell patients
• Previous experience working in a healthcare or care setting.
• Experience of dealing with the public

Special requirement
