Job Opportunity: UCAT Team Member
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our UCAT team where you will be integral to ensuring safe and effective delivery of care.
About the Role
Our UCAT team operates a 24/7 day service and is responsible for providing same day/emergency mental health responses to circa 375,000 population of Fife. You will be a key member of our UCAT team, adopting a pro-active, therapeutic, person-centred approach to care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside registered nurses and other members of the wider team in providing care and support to people who experience a range of mental health difficulties which may impact on their wellbeing, safety and day to day functioning.
- Assist with the provision of trauma informed care including the management of distress and disturbed behaviour.
- Liaise with and co-ordinate other services.
- Report any changes in patient presentation to registered nurse colleagues.
- Provide one to one care and support under supervision including observation and/or escorting patients.
- Support administration and record keeping.
- Order department stock and supplies.
- Participate in the wider service activities as required including deployment to support other clinical areas where necessary.

Requirements
- Must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
