Exciting Opportunity in UCAT Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our UCAT team where you will be integral to ensuring safe and effective delivery of care.
About the Role
Our UCAT team operates a 24/7 day service and is responsible for providing same day/emergency mental health responses to the circa 375,000 population of Fife. You will be a key member of our UCAT team, adopting a proactive, therapeutic, person-centred approach to care delivery. You will work alongside registered nurses and other members of the wider team in providing care and support to people who experience a range of mental health difficulties which may impact on their wellbeing, safety and day to day functioning.
Responsibilities
- Duties: Assisting with the provision of trauma informed care including the management of distress and disturbed behaviour; liaising with and coordinating other services; reporting any changes in patient presentation to registered nurse colleagues; providing one to one care and support under supervision including observation and/or escorting patients; supporting administration and record keeping; ordering department stock and supplies and participating in the wider service activities as required including deployment to support other clinical areas where necessary.
- Recording: Responsible for recording all appointments via electronic systems and sending information to primary care regarding assessment outcomes.
- Travel: This role will be based in Kirkcaldy but may involve travel to other localities.
