Job Description Summary
Are you passionate about improving patient access to innovative medicines and shaping sustainable healthcare solutions that create value for patients, healthcare systems, and society? At Novartis, we are looking for a Healthcare System Shaping Solutions Manager to lead patient access initiatives and drive successful reimbursement and pricing strategies at the local level. In this role, you will work across internal and external stakeholders to develop, submit, and execute access strategies that help ensure patients can benefit from Novartis innovations as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of local Patient Access strategies aligned with Novartis priorities and healthcare system needs.
- Develop and manage patient access and reimbursement projects to support successful market access outcomes.
- Prepare and submit high-quality patient access dossiers and supporting documentation to regulatory and reimbursement authorities.
- Analyze healthcare, clinical, economic, and epidemiological data to generate insights that support access submissions and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical, Value & Access, Public Affairs, Commercial, and Regulatory Affairs to develop evidence-based access strategies.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and healthcare decision-makers to support sustainable access solutions.
- Monitor market access performance and identify opportunities to improve patient access and product uptake.
- Ensure effective use of tracking systems to measure access progress, reimbursement outcomes, and market uptake.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce time to market and expand patient access opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all Novartis policies, local regulations, and healthcare industry standards.
- Report technical complaints, adverse events, and special case scenarios associated with Novartis products within 24 hours of awareness.
- Support the distribution of marketing samples where applicable and in accordance with local regulations.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Economics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in Market Access, Pricing & Reimbursement, Healthcare Policy, Public Affairs, Health Economics, Value & Access, or a related healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, and patient access frameworks.
- Experience preparing and supporting market access or reimbursement submissions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence without authority.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity, ethics, and compliance.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of health technology assessment (HTA), payer systems, and healthcare policy environments.
- Familiarity with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
- Experience managing complex projects in a highly regulated environment.
Success Measures
- Achievement of local Pricing & Reimbursement objectives and product uptake targets.
- Effective implementation and continuous improvement of access tracking and monitoring systems.
- Reduction in product time-to-market through successful access strategies.
- Expansion and improvement of patient access to Novartis therapies.
- Delivery of high-quality patient access submissions within agreed timelines.
- Strong stakeholder satisfaction and collaboration outcomes.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role:
59,360.00 - 84,800.00 - 110,240.00 GBP Annual
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
