Team Leader - Healthy Child Programme School-Aged Health Team

We are searching for an enthusiastic and dynamic Team Leader to influence the transformation of the Healthy Child Programme offer in York. We are committed to maintaining the public health nature of the service and focusing on improving health outcomes for children and young people in York.
About the Role
The Healthy Child Service School-Aged Health Team Leader plays a crucial role in facilitating the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme through effective leadership and development of their team, working collaboratively with the other HCS Team Leaders (0-11) to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery across the city of York to meet the needs of children, young people and families to improve health outcomes.
This role is an intrinsic part of the Healthy Child Service leadership team and will report on a day-to-day basis to the HCS Operational and Quality Manager to ensure professional development and service delivery are clearly linked to population health and public health priorities.
The Team Leader will take a lead role in areas of responsibility to ensure the smooth delivery of the service and service improvements in collaboration with the other HCS Team Leaders (0-11). They will represent the service at partnership meetings and ensure that the Healthy Child Service is an effective partner within the children’s health system in York.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express themselves spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.

Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
