Established in 1895, the company is known for its personal, patient-focused approach, including state-of-the-art equipment and unhurried appointments.
Role Description
The Hear Care Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Hampshire. This is a mobile role involving wax removal using microsuction in all of our Hampshire practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Guiding patients through their appointments
- Offering clear explanations of procedures
- Providing compassionate support, particularly to individuals with additional care needs
- Managing appointment scheduling
- Maintaining accurate records
- Handling basic equipment care
- Ensuring a smooth, efficient patient journey
- Contributing to a positive team environment
- Following health and safety guidelines
- Maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality

Qualifications

- Wax Removal qualification or be prepared to work toward one
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to support patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Competence in manual handling, following safe working practices and health and safety guidelines
- Previous experience in a healthcare, audiology, optometry, or care setting is beneficial
- Ability to manage time effectively, and maintain accurate administrative records
- Basic IT skills for using practice management systems and electronic records
- Willingness to undertake further training and professional development in hearing care
- Relevant care or healthcare-related certification or vocational qualification is an advantage
