SWGR are looking for a Heat-seal and Embroidery Branding Officer to join our team based in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Operate heat-seal presses and embroidery machines safely and efficiently.
  • Apply logos, names, numbers and other branding to garments and PPE in line with customer order requirements.
  • Check artwork, embroidery files, garment details and order instructions before production begins.
  • Ensure each item is branded in the correct position, colour, size and finish.
  • Carry out quality checks before, during and after production to reduce errors and rework.
  • Prepare garments for branding, including organising sizes, colours and quantities against order paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate production records, job sheets and order notes.
  • Identify and report any damaged garments, incorrect stock, faulty branding or machine issues promptly.
  • Support the packing and preparation of completed orders for dispatch or collection.
  • Keep the branding area clean, tidy and organised at all times.
  • Work closely with sales, warehouse, accounts and customer service teams to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Assist with stock control of branding materials, including vinyl, transfers, threads, backing, needles and consumables.
  • Serve customers in the SIS shop in a professional, helpful and courteous manner.
  • Operate the shop till responsibly and accurately, including processing sales, handling payments and issuing receipts in line with company procedures.
  • Follow all company procedures relating to production, quality, health and safety and customer confidentiality.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management in line with the needs of the business.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in heat-seal, embroidery, garment branding, print production or a similar production environment is desirable.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to follow order instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Practical understanding of garment handling, logo placement and production workflow.
  • Basic computer skills for checking order details, production files or machine settings.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Reliable, organised and able to manage multiple orders or tasks at the same time.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, machinery and branding techniques.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Orders completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Low levels of branding errors, damaged garments or rework.
  • Consistent quality of heat-seal and embroidery finishes.
  • Branding area kept clean, safe and organised.
  • Accurate completion of production paperwork and order records.
  • Positive communication with colleagues and management.

Health And Safety Responsibilities

  • Operate all heat-seal, embroidery and production equipment in accordance with company procedures and training.
  • Report faults, hazards, accidents or near misses to management immediately.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment where required.
  • Keep walkways, workbenches and production areas clear and free from obstruction.
  • Handle garments, machinery and consumables safely and responsibly.
  • Co-operate with SIS in complying with health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role working 5 days per week. The normal working hours are Monday to Thursday, 09:00–17:00, and Friday, 09:00–15:45.
