Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are excited to be recruiting Terminal/Specialist Cleaners to join a well-respected and successful client at Heathrow Airport.
This role offers a great choice of shifts. Secure long term work and the chance to make a difference at one of the largest airports in Europe!
What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £14.80
- Shift Pattern: Candidates will start work part-time, 2–3 shifts per week. Based on performance, they will then move onto the regular 4-on, 2-off shift pattern.
- Shifts available: Nights 22:00-06:00.
- Weekly Pay: Every Friday.
- Full training provided.
- Temp to Perm: Performance based.
- Induction date: Around 21st of August
Key Duties:
- Carry out cleaning duties across designated airport areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
- Clean and sanitise terminal facilities, including waiting areas, washrooms, staff areas, offices, and other assigned locations.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in accordance with airport procedures.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and used safely.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, accidents, or potential hazards to the Team Leader immediately.
- Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all tasks are completed in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Complete routine cleaning checks and maintain accurate records where required.
- Work effectively as part of the cleaning team to ensure operational standards are met.
- Adhere to all airport security procedures and maintain compliance with airside security requirements where applicable.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all health, safety, and security policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for passengers, visitors, and airport staff.

- Ability to work in a team.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be over 18.
- Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.
Please note: As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.
