Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Heating & Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing HVAC team, operating across London and the South East.
This is a full-time, field-based position suited to an engineer with strong technical knowledge and proven experience in the service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of commercial heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, attending reactive and emergency callouts, completing repairs and ensuring systems are operating safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant regulations and manufacturer requirements.

You will be expected to interpret technical information and system specifications, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and provide clear and accurate updates to our coordination and account-management teams to ensure works progress efficiently from attendance through to completion.
The role also requires accurate service reporting, identification of further remedial works and a proactive approach to recommending appropriate system improvements, upgrades and energy-efficiency measures where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, fault-find and repair commercial HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and controls-related faults accurately and efficiently.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across a variety of commercial properties.
- Attend emergency and priority callouts when required.
- Complete repairs and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer instructions and industry standards.
- Commission and test equipment following works to confirm safe and correct operation.
- Identify additional defects or remedial works and provide clear technical recommendations.
- Complete accurate job reports, supporting documentation and evidence of works undertaken.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, coordinators and account-management teams throughout each job.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and applicable UK regulations.
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach while representing Aspect on client sites.

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience working with commercial heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, repair and commissioning.
- Experience diagnosing both mechanical and electrical faults within HVAC systems.
- A recognised technical qualification or apprenticeship in HVAC, mechanical engineering or building services, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.
- A good working knowledge of relevant UK health and safety legislation, compliance requirements and industry standards.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manufacturers’ technical information.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage workloads independently while working effectively as part of a wider operational team.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach when working within commercial and corporate environments.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout London and the South East.
Experience across multiple HVAC systems, manufacturers and commercial environments would be advantageous.
