Location: Coatbridge
Sauter Offsite Manufacturing delivers high-quality, prefabricated building services solutions from our manufacturing facility in Coatbridge, helping projects improve quality, safety and efficiency before products even arrive on site.
We’re looking for an experienced Heating Engineer to join the team and support the manufacture, installation and testing of heating and mechanical systems within our offsite production environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong practical background in heating, plumbing or mechanical services who enjoys hands-on work and takes real pride in producing work to a high standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing heating and mechanical pipework systems within prefabricated modules and assemblies.
- Working from drawings and specifications to ensure systems are installed correctly.
- Fitting valves, pumps, controls, pipework and associated components.
- Carrying out testing, checks and basic fault finding before completed units leave the facility.
- Working closely with production, engineering and quality teams to keep work moving to programme.
- Making sure all work meets required quality, safety and technical standards.
- Identifying issues early and helping find practical solutions.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

What You’ll Bring
- We’re looking for someone with good practical heating or mechanical experience who is comfortable working as part of a busy production team.
- Experience working as a Heating Engineer, Plumber or Mechanical Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of heating and pipework systems.
- Experience reading drawings and technical information.
- Good practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
- A positive, reliable approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Relevant plumbing, heating or mechanical qualifications would be an advantage.
