This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team helping to oversee the design, installation, testing and commissioning of critical HVAC systems on one of Europe's largest and most complex infrastructure projects. Working at the heart of a major nuclear construction programme, you'll help ensure essential systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The role
As an Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Test Engineer, you'll support the safe and successful delivery of HVAC systems across a designated area of the Hinkley Point C project. You'll play a key role in driving construction and commissioning activities, ensuring technical requirements are met and helping to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Supporting Building Leads in delivering project scope safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Producing weekly progress reports and providing updates against project milestones.
- Reviewing productivity and monitoring resource utilisation to drive project performance.
- Developing and implementing construction method improvement plans.
- Raising technical queries, monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and engineering standards.

This role is based at Hinkley Point C and is a 37-hour per week, Monday to Friday position, with five days per week on site.
Essential experience of the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Test Engineer:
- Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects safely and effectively.
- Minimum five years' experience in a major project engineering or construction environment.
- Experience monitoring compliance with engineering codes, specifications and quality requirements.
- Proven ability to understand and manage complex technical issues within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience within heavy industrial environments; nuclear sector experience would be advantageous.
Qualifications for the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Test Engineer:
Essential:
- Degree in Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Desirable:
- Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- CCNSG Safety Passport or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
Security Clearance
