We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Lower North Shore team, specifically in Tête-à-la-Baleine.

As a multidisciplinary company, we specialize in civil works, deep foundations, process mechanics, electrical power systems, instrumentation and controls, industrial maintenance, and automation, while also being recognized for our expertise in the water and wastewater treatment industry.
With offices in Laval and Quebec City, our teams work across the province, from the Greater Montreal and Quebec City regions to the Lower North Shore, taking on stimulating projects in diverse technical environments.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Reporting to the Director of Equipment Rental and Workforce Management, your main responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventive inspections on equipment;
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues;
- Assess component wear and determine replacement requirements;
- Provide planners and supervisors with the information required to plan major repairs and maintenance activities;
- Adjust, repair, and replace defective parts and components;
- Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments;
- Test equipment following repairs;
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards;
- Completing inspection and maintenance reports;
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications
- Vocational Diploma (DEP) in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Ability and willingness to travel for work rotations of 21 to 35 days within Quebec’s Lower North Shore region;
- Valid CCQ Journeyman Certificate in Heavy Equipment Mechanics is considered an asset;
- Intermediate English skills are considered an asset, as occasional communication with English-speaking collaborators may be required;
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret maintenance manuals;
- Team-oriented mindset.
