Heavy Machinery Operator
Location: Safford, AZ
Pay: $32/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

The Job
We are hiring an experienced Heavy Machinery Operator to operate and test large 20-ton mining vehicles. This position involves safely driving heavy equipment, completing inspections, and providing feedback to engineering teams.

- Operate and back 20-ton mining vehicles
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete DVIRs and report equipment issues
- Support vehicle hardware and software testing
- Provide feedback to engineers on vehicle performance
- Operate other fleet vehicles when needed
- Follow all safety and DOT requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Experience with rigid-frame or articulated haul trucks preferred
- Comfortable operating and backing large mining vehicles
- Clean driving record
- Able to pass background check, road test, drug test, MVR, and DOT physical
- Able to drive for extended periods
- CDL-A is a plus, but not required
- Interest in autonomous vehicle technology

Travel
Must be willing to travel up to 50%. Initial training may take place in Sunol, CA before working in Safford, AZ.
