Arriva Traincare have an exciting opportunity arise for a Heavy Maintenance Team Leader to join the team based in our Bristol depot.

Contract: Permanent contract; Monday to Friday 07:00am to 15:30pm.

Role Overview

What will this role of Heavy Maintenance Team Leader entail?

The primary focus of the Team Leader is to manage the depot operations, activities, and personnel at the Bristol depot. Duties will include;

  • Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency, and quality output
  • Ensuring the compliance of teams working to VMI’s, VOI’s, and ATC work instructions
  • Liaising with Project Engineers to ensure efficient work programmes are implemented
  • Work with the training department in the development of competence assessments for the team
  • Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Implementation of customer requirements

Requirements

What will I need to be considered for this Heavy Maintenance Team Leader role?

  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering – Rail Traction & Rolling Stock preferred
  • Understanding of rail vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering
  • People management training
