Heavy Plant Engineer

Taunton

£23.00 - £25.00 per hour + Company Van + Overtime + Training + Excellent Benefits

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a leading name in the crushing, screening and quarrying industry who are looking to appoint an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer to join their growing service team covering the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience working on crushing and screening equipment or heavy plant machinery who is looking to join a business that genuinely values its engineers, offers excellent overtime opportunities and invests in ongoing manufacturer training.

The Role

  • Service, maintain and repair crushing, screening and quarrying equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
  • Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Attend breakdowns and minimise customer downtime.
  • Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
  • Build strong relationships with customers whilst representing the business professionally.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and to manufacturer standards.

The Person

  • Previous experience as a Heavy Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Mobile Plant Engineer or Crusher & Screener Engineer.
  • Experience working on crushing and screening equipment is highly desirable.
  • Alternatively, strong experience working on heavy plant, quarrying or construction equipment.
  • Strong hydraulic, electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
