Overview
Join a leading global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of plant machinery as a Mobile Plant Engineer. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team, covering the southern region of the country. This is an excellent opportunity for someone located within an hour and a half of Portsmouth to work with cutting-edge machinery, receive industry-leading training, and enjoy a competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Provide exceptional customer service while working on-site at client locations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plant engineer, mobile engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or plant maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Day-to-Day
- Travel to customer sites across the southern region to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve faults.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
- Maintain and manage the company-provided van, ensuring it is stocked with necessary tools and parts.
- Attend manufacturer training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and machinery.
