Hedge Accounting Manager, Banking, City, £80,000 - £86,000, 2 days in office

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Hedge Accounting Manager to join its Treasury Finance team. This is a high-profile role that will act as the organisation's subject matter expert for hedge accounting, partnering closely with Treasury, Finance and senior stakeholders to ensure a robust and well-controlled hedge accounting framework.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong qualified accountant who enjoys combining complex accounting expertise with commercial stakeholder engagement and strategic project work.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Head of Product Control & Hedge Accounting, you will take ownership of hedge accounting activities across the business, helping to support Treasury's risk management objectives while minimising unnecessary P&L volatility.

  • Play a pivotal role in maintaining hedge documentation, overseeing effectiveness testing, supporting regulatory and financial reporting, and acting as a key contact for auditors and senior management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
