The Company:
Our client is a highly successful and entrepreneurial equity long/short hedge fund with an exceptional investment track record and an exciting growth trajectory. Having recently secured a significant Separately Managed Account (SMA), the business has entered a new phase of expansion, making this an excellent time to join.
Founded by highly respected investment professionals, the firm has built an institutional-quality operating platform whilst retaining the agility and collaborative culture of a boutique investment manager. The strength of its operational infrastructure was recently highlighted during an extensive operational due diligence process undertaken by a sophisticated institutional investor, providing further validation of the quality of the business.
I have known the COO personally for 20 years and have recruited a number of Operations staff for him over that time. All have gone on to have exceptional careers and are some of the most capable and technically astute in the market.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, close-knit team where your contribution will be visible from day one and where you'll have genuine exposure to senior decision makers across the firm.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Analyst to join a dynamic Operations team supporting a sophisticated investment platform. This is a broad, hands-on position covering trade support, reconciliations, fund administration liaison, and operational oversight.
Whilst previous experience is required (read below), it is imperative that you are prepared to do the less exciting tasks as well as the more challenging ones. You will be the least experienced member of the team and a humble attitude is an absolute must.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
