Company Description

EverestQuant is a London-based multi-strategy quantitative hedge fund focused on systematic alpha generation across global markets. The firm deploys proprietary, research-driven strategies across systematic macro and commodities, volatility, equities, equity derivatives, and other global markets. EverestQuant is headquartered in London with a Quant Research Office in Budapest and is led by professionals with experience in private equity, quantitative hedge funds, and academic research.

Role Description

The Hedge Fund Operations role is a full-time, position based in our London office. The role involves overseeing daily trade capture, confirmation, and settlement processes across multiple asset classes, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of positions, cash, and collateral. The individual will work closely with portfolio managers, risk, compliance, and external counterparties to resolve breaks, support new product launches, and maintain robust operational controls. Responsibilities include monitoring funding and liquidity, supporting NAV and P&L production, contributing to process automation and workflow improvements, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years in investment operations at a hedge fund, asset manager, or sell-side institution, working directly with portfolio managers and traders
  • Hands-on ownership of reconciliations, settlements, margin, and cash across at least two of: cash equities, listed futures and options, equity swaps and CFDs, FX, commodities, OTC derivatives
  • Experience onboarding new trading relationships, counterparties, markets, or products, working directly with prime and executing brokers
  • Working knowledge of the UK regime as it applies to an FCA-authorised manager: transaction reporting, AML and CTF, compliance monitoring
  • Detail oriented, with the judgement to know which break matters today and which can wait
  • Comfortable with no team beneath you, and comfortable saying when something is wrong
  • Strong Excel; Python or SQL is a clear advantage

  • Daily reconciliation of trades, positions, cash, and PnL across internal systems, prime brokers, custodians, and the fund administrator, and resolution of the breaks that fall out
  • Settlement across equities, futures, options, swaps, FX, and commodities, including give-ups, allocations, and corporate actions
  • Margin, financing, and collateral: margin calls, stock loan and repo, swap resets and funding rates, multi-currency cash and FX sweeps
  • Own trading counterparty, market infrastructure onboarding, including brokers, platforms, market data, exchanges, trading limits, fees, and market access
  • Coordinate new trading relationships and product enablement across prime and executing brokers, including KYC, documentation, connectivity, give-ups, and go-live readiness
  • Monthly NAV validation with the administrator, plus audit and investor due diligence support
  • Own day-to-day operational relationships with brokers, custodians, service, infrastructure and data providers, the fund administrator, and drive issue resolution
