Fixed Income Sales & Trading Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Trading Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced trading environment, supporting institutional clients across primary and secondary fixed income markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily market updates, highlighting overnight market developments and key macroeconomic events.
  • Execute client trades accurately and efficiently while responding to client enquiries.
  • Monitor new bond issuance, including investment-grade and high-yield transactions.
  • Provide clients with pricing, market colour, and trading axes.
  • Track trade allocations and liaise with internal teams to ensure timely settlement.
  • Work closely with Sales, Trading, Syndicate, Middle Office, and Back Office to resolve trade queries.
  • Prepare end-of-day market recaps and trading summaries.
  • Maintain high standards of risk management, compliance, and operational accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of fixed income products, bond markets, and pricing (knowledge of equity products is an advantage).
  • Bloomberg Terminal proficiency.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven trading environment.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and risk management skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and client-focused mindset.
