The Opportunity
Harvard Bioscience is currently seeking someone for an entry-level Help Desk role.
Essential Job Functions
- Responding to hardware and software problems related but not limited to:
- Email, MS Teams, and other MS Office Products
- Printers
- Imaging New Computers
- Desktop phones
- Identify potential cyber security issues
- Drive mapping
- Changing Passwords
- Desk Setup for IT equipment
Skills and Abilities Required
- Basic understanding of:
- Computers, printers, and Windows OS.
- Office working
- End User support
- Principles of computer networking
- You must be:
- Technology literate
- Able to deliver or grow into delivery of, high efficiency support.
- Self-motivated to learn new skills and to grow personally.
- Excellence in Customer Care

Strongly Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous IT and End User Support
- Office Tools experience
- TCP/IP and Wireless networking
- Active directory and Office 365 administration
Education and Experience and/or Equivalent
- Secondary school education or equivalent.
- 8 GCSEs grades A-C or 4-9
- Technical certifications a plus.
Physical Demands
- Lift and carry up to 25kg.
- Working in small, awkward spaces to install equipment.
- Able to work up step ladders or on work platforms.
Additional Information
Role is strictly on-site at our UK Cambridge site in Waterbeach.
