About The Role
Help Desk Operators are sought for a full-time role in Stafford at Acton Gate (ST18), paying £12.71 hourly through Rapier Employment.
Working any five days from seven on a rota, shifts span eight hours between 0600-1400 and 1300-2100 on weekdays, with weekend patterns of 0600-1400 or 1000-1800; every other weekend is required. Duties centre on answering calls from delivery crews handling large-item distribution for Argos, tracing order histories, resolving item problems, and supplying directions or contact numbers. Queries also arrive from customer service, sometimes needing calls to depots and distribution centres. Cover extends across the UK, Scotland, and Ireland.

Job Description
We are recruiting for Help Desk Operators for our client in Acton Gate, near Stafford (ST18).
Role Description
- Handling all incoming calls from the delivery crews for the large item delivery for Argos
- Looking into order histories
- Checking out item issues
- Looking for directions and contact numbers
- Covering all of the UK, Scotland, and Ireland
- Receiving queries from customer service which may involve contacting Depots and distribution centres
Candidates need to be able to work full-time, any 5 days out of 7. Shifts are 8 hours, anywhere between 0600-1400 to 1300-2100 on weekdays and 0600-1400 to 1000-1800 on weekends. Breaks are a 30 min unpaid lunch break and two 15 min paid breaks.

Currently working every other weekend, and this is planned in advance on the rota. We also work most bank holidays, and again this is planned on the rota.
The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour and it is 37.5 hours per week.
Requirements
- Fully PC literate
- Excellent communication skills
- Organised
- Previous experience in customer service
- Flexible to work weekends
- Right to work in the UK
- Own Transport or live local to the ST18 area
Training is on the job and provided by an in-house trainer, we find it takes approximately 1 week.
