Job Title

Requirements

Applicants must be currently based in the United Kingdom and legally authorized to work in the UK without sponsorship. This is a full-time, temporary 2-month assignment working standard UK business hours. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of IT Help Desk or Desktop Support experience.

Summary of Position

The Help Desk Representative is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software to Vapotherm's global workforce. Respond to IT ticket system, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determine and implement a solution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to tickets either in person, via video call, phone, chat, or email.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Ask questions to determine the nature of the problem.
  • Walk internal customers through the problem-solving process.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • Install computer peripherals for users.
  • Follow up with internal customers to ensure issues have been resolved.
  • Gain feedback from internal customers about computer usage.
  • Run reports to determine IT malfunctions that continue to occur.

This position requires to work collaboratively with all Business functions while working under moderate supervision. The position requires a professional image/demeanor as well as an extremely responsible working attitude with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Position Requirements - Education, Knowledge, Years of Experience, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing IT Help Desk, Service Desk, or Desktop Support in a corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience using ticketing system platform
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and user access issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support end users remotely and in person.
  • Must be currently located in and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Must be available to work a standard UK business schedule (Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. UK time).
  • Must be available for the full duration of this temporary 2-month assignment.
