Summary
Paid workplace experience with off-the-job training. It offers a highly practical, debt-free launchpad into the corporate world, making it an excellent alternative to university or traditional classroom-based courses.
- Wage: £14,560 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age.
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
- Training course: Business administrator (level 3).
- Hours: 08.30am till 4.00pm Monday to Friday. 35 hours a week.
- Start date: Monday 26 October 2026.
- Duration: 1 year 4 months.
- Positions available: 1.
Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- To contact customers to arrange engineers’ jobs – Via mmail / telephone
- Managing client’s portals to ensure KPI’s are met
- Scheduling
- Administrative duties
- Booking hotels for engineers
- Input data on database and creating excel sheet for client
- Raising quotes for remedial works following job completions
- Verifying completed works meet client’s needs
- Ensuring engineers have jobs available to complete
- Uploading sample certification following testing at the lab.
- Invoicing

Training

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- write letters or emails
- create proposals
- perform financial processes
- record and analyse data.
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including:
- emails
- letters
- files
- payments
- reports and proposals.
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English (grade 4 or above)
- Maths (grade 4 or above)
