Helpline Advisor
Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Monday to Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm | Friday 8:30am–12:00pm
£25,500 per annum
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Helpline Advisor to support the delivery, promotion and development of their National Kidney Patients Helpline. This is a vital role, providing information, guidance and reassurance to kidney patients, their families and carers across the UK.
Working as part of a small and supportive team, you will handle incoming enquiries, maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing development of helpline services, ensuring callers receive a high standard of support at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling incoming helpline enquiries via telephone and email
- Providing accurate information, guidance and signposting to patients and families
- Maintaining and updating databases, call records and helpline statistics
- Supporting peer support networks and self-help group information
- Assisting with the development and updating of information leaflets and resources
- Supporting general office and administrative duties when required

About You
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a comparable helpline, advisory or support-based role (essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a calm and empathetic approach
- Confident using databases and Microsoft Office systems
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of kidney-related health issues or healthcare environments (desirable)
