About the Company
Walsingham Planning is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Heritage Consultant to join our team in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to help grow our heritage consultancy service while working on a varied portfolio of commercial and residential projects.
About the Role
The role will include:
- preparing heritage statements, impact assessments and archaeological desk-based assessments
- advising clients on heritage and archaeological matters
- assessing historic buildings, sites and landscapes
- working with planning authorities, Historic England and other stakeholders
- supporting projects from pre-application through to post-consent
- helping to develop client relationships and secure new work

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with relevant consultancy experience, strong knowledge of UK heritage legislation and planning policy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Membership of CIfA or IHBC would be desirable.

Pay range and compensation package
The role is based in Bourne End with hybrid working. It is available on a full-time basis, although part-time applications will also be considered. We offer a competitive salary, benefits and opportunities for professional development and career progression.
