The Heritage Officer will play a key role in delivering the Belfast Historic Waterfront as part of The National Lottery Heritage Fund's Heritage Places Strategic Initiative. As part of the Maritime Belfast team, the postholder will help coordinate activity, partnerships, and outputs across the Belfast Historic Waterfront Heritage Place, with a particular focus on supporting the development of a Conservation Management Plan, the Belfast Historic Waterfront Plan, the extension of the Belfast Story Plan, and outdoor museum and associated restoration, interpretation, and public display projects.

Essential Criteria

  • Third-level qualification in heritage, regeneration, conservation, or a related field OR
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience gained within the last 5 years in heritage projects, conservation, or regeneration delivery
  • Good IT skills including the ability to confidently use the MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
