About The Role
Pertemps Banbury is seeking an HGV 1 Driver for a role based in Upton. This position offers a salary between £17.31 and £18.43 per hour, with both full-time and part-time temporary contracts available. Drivers will transport goods to distribution centres across the country using a modern fleet, with no handballing required. Shift patterns include days starting from 6:00am to 6:00pm or nights from 6:00pm to 6:00am, Monday to Thursday. Each shift guarantees a minimum of eight hours’ pay. Applicants must hold a valid LGV Category CE licence and possess strong driving skills. This role provides well-planned routes and consistent weekly work.

Pertemps are recruiting LGV Class 1 (Cat CE) Drivers on behalf of a well-established client relocating a major contract to the Bicester area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a new operation from the very beginning, with Monday to Thursday work, competitive pay rates, and no handballing.
Pay Rates
- Days: £17.31 per hour
- Nights: £18.43 per hour
- Guaranteed 8 hours' pay per shift
Shift Patterns
- Day shifts: Start times between 6:00am and 6:00pm
- Night shifts: Start times between 6:00pm and 6:00am
- Monday to Thursday
The Role

Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence – No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences only.
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph (Driver) Card
- A minimum of 12 months' LGV Class 1 driving experience in the UK
- The ability to successfully complete a driving assessment
