HGV 2 DRIVER - Stretford
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for an HGV 2 Driver to work with a leading logistics provider in Stretford. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to key clients, including LNER (King's Cross), Heathrow, and Gatwick, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.
Shift Patterns
- 5 on 3 off shift pattern.
- Start times vary between 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00.
- Drivers are advised of their schedule a few days in advance.
Pay Rates
- 17.00 GBP hourly.
- Overtime and Bank Holiday enhanced rates.
- Weekly pay.
Essential Requirements for HGV 2 DRIVER
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 2 driving experience.
- No more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence.
- Able to provide a 5-year employment history.
- Eligible to pass a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Willing to complete the CO (Cargo Operative) Course (training and assistance provided).
- Must have the right to work in the UK (applicants on a Student Visa are not eligible).

Desirable Requirements for HGV 2 DRIVER
- Previous experience working in an airport, transport, or logistics environment.
- Experience with heavy manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Good knowledge of Gatwick Airport and the surrounding road network.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules.
- A proactive and reliable approach, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

- Safely transport goods to key client locations including major transport hubs.
- Perform heavy manual handling tasks as part of the delivery process.
- Maintain accurate delivery schedules and manage time effectively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.
