HGV Class 1 - Cowley
Monday to Friday | 03:00 - 05:30 start times
Looking for reliable HGV driving work in Cowley? Join HG Recruitment and benefit from competitive pay, weekly wages and ongoing shifts with our established client.
Delivering on two main contracts:
- Drop and swap trailer from Cowley to Woking 2 routes per shift. Averaging 8-10 hour days.
- Multi-drop contract delivering to stores. No handball. Maximum 6 deliveries, including collections. Averaging 9-12 hour shifts.
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- PAYE Day rate standard - £18.44 - £22.49
- PAYE Weekends standard - £26.56 - £30.61

The Role
- Driving & Delivering: Operate articulated HGVs (C+E) for national deliveries (forklift-only stock).
- Loading & Unloading: Secure all loads safely to prevent transit damage.
- Route Planning: Plan routes effectively, adapting to traffic and weather conditions.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with site personnel and deliver excellent service.
- Compliance: Complete all vehicle checks, report defects, and follow road safety and company procedures.

Requirements
- Full Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- Understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
- Positive, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
