About The Role
Rapier Employment seeks an HGV Class 1 driver for its client in Normanton. This temporary contract, available full or part time, pays £16.50 to £22.59 hourly, with rates rising after weeks 12 and 27. Shifts span days (02:00–09:00) or nights (13:00–21:00), and every pattern includes one weekend day. Duties cover vehicle checks plus store and RDC deliveries, requiring tail lift operation and manual handling of cages. Overtime applies beyond eight hours. Applicants must hold a valid C+E licence. The assignment runs long term for suitable candidates.

Rates increase after week 12 and 27.
Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Wakefield. This role will be long term ongoing for the right candidates.
Any shift to include a weekend day.
This role does require some manual handling of cages and tail lift work.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivering to RDCs and stores.
- Stores deliveries will be unloading using tail lift and cages.
- Vehicle checks
- Shift patterns to suit but a weekend shift is preferred.

Days
- Days: 02:00 – 09:00 starts
- £16.50- £17.85ph per hour PAYE
- Over time after 8 hours
Nights
- Nights: 13:00 – 21:00 starts
- £18.82 - £22.59 per hour PAYE
- Over time after 8 hours
Rates are the same Monday – Sunday.
The ideal candidate.
- Held your HGV C+E licence for at least 6 months
- “Can do” attitude
- No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s - NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS
- Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
