About The Role

We are seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our general haulage team. You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries and collections, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with UK transport regulations. Roles of this type occasionally involve multi-drop or distance work, depending on contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being versatile to be able to carry out general haulage deliveries across the UK which include Flat Work, Curtainsider, Low Loader, Containers.
  • Complete vehicle checks and ensuring all equipment is safe and roadworthy.
  • Maintain accurate tachograph records and comply with driver hours regulations.
  • Ensure all loads are securely restrained and handled safely.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and the transport office.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Minimum 3 year’s Class 1 driving experience preferred.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (No DD, DR, or TT endorsements).
  • Experience in the general haulage sector.
  • ADR certification is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous FORS training (such as Safe Urban Driving or eLearning modules) is highly desirable, though training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high safety standards.
