HGV Class 1 Driver Nationwide Deliveries
Pay: £17.00 per hour + overtime + night-out allowance
Hours: 48 hours per week, with overtime available
Start: Immediate / Short Notice
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a busy transport operation carrying out nationwide deliveries.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and experienced Class 1 drivers who are comfortable with multi-drop work, nationwide travel, and occasional nights away.
The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering timber products to customers across the UK using curtain-side and flatbed trailers.
Duties will include:
- Nationwide Class 1 deliveries
- Multi-drop delivery work
- Driving curtain-side and flatbed vehicles
- Safely strapping and securing timber loads
- Delivering to builders' merchants and customer sites
- Making deliveries into busy urban and city-centre locations, including London
- Completing nights out when required
- Carrying out appropriate vehicle and load safety checks

Due to the nature of the loads, previous experience strapping and securing loads is essential.
Pay & Hours
- £17.00 per hour
- Basic 48-hour working week
- 45-minute unpaid break per day
- £18.70 per hour overtime rate for hours worked over 51.75 hours per week
- £24 night-out allowance for each night away
What We're Looking For
Successful applicants will need:
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Relevant Class 1 driving experience
- Previous experience strapping and securing loads
- Experience or confidence using curtain-side and flatbed trailers
- Confidence completing multi-drop deliveries
- Confidence delivering into builders' merchants and busy urban locations
- Willingness to complete nights out when required
- A professional and safety-conscious approach
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and working time regulations
- Immediate availability or the ability to start at short notice
