Role Overview
This position involves operating as a Class 1 HGV Driver / Shunter responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products safely, efficiently, and on time. The driver will support on-site shunting operations at a distribution centre, ensuring compliance with safety and regulations while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods securely, promptly, and professionally, supporting efficient distribution.
- Perform on-site shunting to facilitate smooth operations.
- Communicate regularly with the Transport Office regarding operational issues.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and reports.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness.
- Secure loads and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Follow all road traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, or vehicle issues immediately.
- Maintain professionalism, safety, and compliance at all times.

Qualifications & Skills
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Knowledge of driver hours' regulations and transport legislation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Safety-first mindset and commitment to compliance
- Previous Class 1 driving and shunting experience is preferred
