About The Role
This position involves nightly HGV Class 1 driving from the Dordon depot, delivering car parts to retail outlets and dealerships across England, Scotland, and Wales. You will manage tail-lift operations, unload palletised freight using a pump truck, and handle some loose items. Shifts run Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday, with start times between 19:00 and 03:00, totalling a 46-hour week. The role offers £19.64 per hour on a full-time, ongoing basis, with permanent contracts available after a qualifying period. Candidates should possess flexibility for five to six nights weekly. Pertemps Birmingham Commercial seeks dependable drivers for this long-term assignment.

This Role Will Involve
- Car Parts deliveries to stores and dealerships where you will be unloading cages
- Variety of different runs with different locations across England, Scotland and Wales
- Tail-lift work, palletised unloading via pump truck with some loose loads.
- Start times from 19:00hrs to 03:00hrs working on a 46 hour working week.
- 5 to 6 nights per week
- Site is based in Dordon Tamworth
Successful HGV Class 1 Drivers Will

- Have at least 6 to 12 months months Class 1 experience
- Have no more than 6 points for minor offenses (No DDs, DRs or CDs)
- Hold valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
HGV Class 1 Drivers PAYE Rates Of Pay
- Night Rates of £19.64 per hour
- Guaranteed 8 hours per shift
Mandatory Assessments Are Involved Which Will Include
- Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required)
- Full site and safe systems of work induction
- Vehicle familiarisation
- Practical driving assessment
