Role Overview
We are seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver/Shunter to join our team in Derby. The role involves delivering pharmaceutical products safely, efficiently, and on time, while supporting on-site shunting operations at our distribution center. The driver will ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company standards, conduct daily vehicle checks, and maintain clear communication with the Transport Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods securely and punctually, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform on-site shunting to facilitate smooth distribution center operations.
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and report operational issues promptly.
- Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and loaded securely, adhering to safety standards.
- Comply with all traffic laws, driver regulations, and company policies.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, or vehicle defects immediately.

Qualifications & Skills
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of driver hours' regulations and transport legislation.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Safety-conscious with a commitment to compliance.
- Previous driving and shunting experience is preferred.
