Job Opportunity: HGV Class 1 Drivers
We are looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Fowler Welch team in Spalding, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.
This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC, Farms, and Packhouse deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service, and dependable delivery standards. You'll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service, and high professional standards are valued every day.

What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
- Operate refrigerated articulated vehicles.
- Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres, Farms, and Packhouses.
- Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues, or load discrepancies.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
- Follow company procedures, including health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
- Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance, and customer service at all times.

Job Requirements
- You should hold a valid C+E Licence.
- Previous Class 1 Driving Experience is advantageous; however, we will consider New Pass Drivers.
- No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
- Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
- Understand and be able to comply with Drivers' hours and WTD legislation.
- Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and be able to report defects correctly.
- Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
