Flexible HGV Class 1 Driver - Hereford

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to work with one of our long-standing clients based in Hereford. This is an excellent opportunity for professional and reliable drivers looking for ongoing work with flexible working patterns and competitive rates of pay.

The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be transporting palletised goods using modern articulated vehicles on nationwide distribution routes.
Drivers can expect to complete 1 to 3 deliveries or collections per shift, with average shift lengths of 8 to 10 hours, although occasional 12-hour shifts may be required. This role offers consistent ongoing work with a well-established logistics provider operating a modern fleet and professionally planned routes.
Whether you're seeking full-time, part-time, weekday, weekend, day, night, tramping, or home-daily work, we will do our best to build regular ongoing work around your availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete the safe and timely delivery and collection of palletised goods.
- Carry out nationwide distribution and collection work.
- Complete between 1 and 3 deliveries or collections per shift.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
- Adhere to all driver hours, working time regulations, and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
- Represent Pure Staff and our client in a professional manner.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout every shift.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need
- UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, IN, or TT endorsements).
- Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations, and vehicle safety checks.
- Previous palletised distribution or general haulage experience is beneficial but not essential.
- A professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude.
Pay Rates
Holiday Accrued
- Monday to Friday Days - £18.50 per hour
- Monday to Friday Nights - £21.50 per hour
- Weekend Days - £21.50 per hour
- Weekend Nights - £24.00 per hour
Rolled-Up Holiday Pay
- Monday to Friday Days - £20.73 per hour
- Monday to Friday Nights - £24.10 per hour
- Weekend Days - £24.10 per hour
- Weekend Nights - £26.90 per hour
